PROGRAM NOTES: This is a fun and swinging version of the classic Christmas Carol, Oh Christmas Tree. It begins with a minor solo for bass and baritone saxophone, but quickly moves into the melody. Try to get a big, full section sound as you play this piece. Think of a sax soli in a big band chart. The solos for tenor and soprano sax can be played as written or improvised with the chords provided. Try to bring out the whimsy in the piece and have fun celebrating the season.
